KBC Asset Management - PixAlert Audit Service

Providing a Safe Working Environment

November 2005:  As part of its ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility in order to provide the best possible working environment, KBC Asset Management Ltd (KBCAM) - one of Ireland's leading investment management operations, has decided to trial PixAlert’s Audit Service in order to ascertain the quantity and type of potentially offensive or damaging images in KBCAM’s technical infrastructure.

PixAlert Auditor uses high speed image analysis software and multi-threading technology that dramatically cuts the time needed to complete a full image health-check for large enterprises.

“Using our audit service, we will scan portions of KBC’s network, checking for illegal or inappropriate images on file servers, users home directories, desktop PCs, email servers and ZIP files” said Andy Churley, marketing director at PixAlert “This project enables KBCAM to ensure that it has a satisfactory working environment and ensure employees are not inadvertent recipients of inappropriate material.”

“In addition to checking our network, PixAlert is in the process of assisting us by providing KBCAM with an idea of our level of risk and compliance to corporate policy on unacceptable images in the workplace.” said Jorge de Vivero, at KBCAM in Dublin. “After evaluating PixAlert Auditor 3.1, we recognise that it is useful in determining the potential level of legal exposure and misuse of company resources.”
